Dr. Glenda Hembree has served as an educator for over four decades in a number of settings, including local public school systems, the Louisiana Department of Education, and public and private universities. She has taught students at the elementary, middle, and high school levels; mentored and coached pre-service and in-service teachers; and coordinated numerous curricular projects. Her major interests involve the development of high quality educators and the teaching of literacy.
Dr. Hembree’s current responsibilities as Director of Teacher Education include advising students, organizing course selections, processing various certification documents, and promoting the teacher certification and Master of Arts in Teaching programs. She also teaches undergraduate and graduate courses.
