Beth Wolcott joined the Department of Biological Sciences in 1997. She cannot imagine anything more rewarding than sharing her interest in nature and how it works with her students. She feels a responsibility to share her knowledge of issues in biology with others, with hope that we will all better understand our natural world and be better stewards of our beautiful planet. She believes that all students, no matter what their majors, should acquire knowledge of the many important concepts in biology, as it is a science that is greatly changing the world in which we live. Many students find courses in the sciences very challenging, and Ms. Wolcott finds great reward in helping her students succeed.
