The department of History is located in Bobet Hall. There are a wide variety of classrooms, computer labs, and educational resources to help students in their path of learning. Writing Across the Curriculum
The Writing Across the Curriculum (WAC) writing center is located in room 100 Bobet Hall, located at the center of Loyola's main campus.
The Bobet writing center is equipped with 26 PCs. The applications available in the main writing center include Microsoft Office 2000 (including MS Word, Excel, Access, and Power Point), Netscape Navigator, Microsoft Publisher and FrontPage. The Bobet writing center is open Monday through Friday year-round and some weekends. Call extension 2297 for exact hours.
A section of the main writing center doubles as an electronic classroom for workshops on computer-based writing, collaborative writing, and electronic research. Faculty members may reserve the 20-station facility for up to two weeks at a time per course for workshops. WAC staff are available to conduct workshops in writing with computers, researching on the Web, documenting sources, and other topics. When not in use as a classroom, this section of the center is open to students for writing, research, and tutorials.
The center is staffed with peer-tutors during operating hours and serves over 1,000 students per month.
