Katherine Karcher's year of study abroad in Paris was paid for by the Domengeaux Scholarship.  This scholarship is a competitive award offered to top French students in Louisiana.  After spending that year in Paris, Katherine got a job teaching English in Calais, France.  She is considering advanced studies in French at an American university.
