Dr. Ladd presents research at the Southern Sociological Society meetings, Dillard University conference, and at the Midwest Sociological Society meetings.

Dr. Anthony E. Ladd, Professor of Sociology, recently presented his research on "Fossil Fuels, Nuclear Power, and Social Injustice: Building a Sustainable U.S. Energy Policy for the 21st Century."

Dr. Capowich is working with the City of New Orleans on it's newly funded violence reduction project which has received $50,000 in funding from the New Orleans Business Council.

Dr. Anthony Ladd's article, "Feedlots of the Sea: Movement Frames and Activist Claims in the Protest Over Salmon Farming in the Pacific Northwest," appears in the November 2011 issue of Humanity and Society.

Dario El-Badry '09 recently accepted a job teaching English and Reading to children in Bangkok.
